Training
Under 18 teams train at various times at Sacred Heart Aquatic Centre.
2026 Under 18s main season runs term 1 and 2. Teams will be entered into the Auckland Water Polo League in Term 2, building towards Under 18 National Championships taking place in Wellington for Division 1 and Auckland for Division 2, Men and Women in July.
Competitions
Auckland League
Marist participate in the Auckland League which is run by Auckland Water Polo during Term 2. Games are usually on a Saturday afternoon at any of these Water Polo Pools in Auckland:

- AUT Millennium Institute of Sport & Health
- Diocesan
- National Aquatic Centre

Overseas Trips
If there is sufficient interest to attend, Marist plan overseas team trips to attend events such as in Australia. International trips are not every year and subject to the full support of club, players, parents and require lots of fundraising! In January 2023, Marist sent an U18 Mens team to Perth for the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships and in January 2024, we sent both a Men’s and Women’s U18 team to Brisbane.
Nationals
Marist participate in the National competition which is run by Water Polo New Zealand. More information can be found here on the WPNZ website.
