Marist Water Polo Club Awards Life Membership to Jez Sherman

Marist Water Polo Club is delighted to award Life Membership to Jez Sherman in recognition of his exceptional service, leadership, and dedication to the Club over many years.

Jez’s involvement with Marist has spanned a wide range of roles. Since joining the Club Committee in 2014, he has been a passionate contributor as a coach, team manager, player, Club Captain, mentor, and advocate for the continued growth of water polo within the Club.

He has coached teams across multiple age groups and grades, including the Under 12 programme, Senior Women, Senior Men, and Makutu Men, helping players develop their skills and fostering a lifelong love of the sport. Behind the scenes, Jez has also generously taken on many team management responsibilities, ensuring players and teams had the support they needed to succeed.

As Club Captain, Jez provided an important voice for players and played a key role in representing their interests at the committee level. He was also a driving force behind the establishment of Marist’s Masters Programme, creating opportunities for former players to remain involved in the sport while strengthening connections across generations of Marist members.

Known for his generosity, camaraderie, and unwavering support of teammates and players, Jez has consistently gone above and beyond for the Club, whether through mentoring, fundraising, practical assistance, or simply bringing people together. His contribution has helped shape the strong community culture that Marist enjoys today.

Through years of dedicated volunteer service and leadership, Jez has embodied the values of Marist Water Polo Club and made a lasting impact on countless players, families, and fellow members. We are proud to recognise his outstanding contribution with Life Membership.
