Training
Under 18 teams train at various times at Sacred Heart Aquatic Centre.
2023 Under 18s main season runs term 1 and 2. Teams will be entered into the Auckland Water Polo League building towards Under 18 Nationals in October.
2023 term 1, all under 18 players are invited to train with the Marist Senior Squads.
Competitions
Auckland League
Marist participate in the Auckland League which is run by Auckland Water Polo Association during Term 3. Games are usually on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon at any of the 6 Water Polo Pools in Auckland:
- Sacred Heart (Marist)
- West Wave (Waitakere City)
- AUT Millennium Institute of Sport & Health (North Harbour)
- Mountfort Park (Mountfort)
- Diocesan (Atlantis City)
- National Aquatic Centre (Neutral Ground)
Nationals
Marist participate in National League which is run by New Zealand Water Polo and is separate to the Auckland league. For exact dates please refer to the NZWP Events Calendar.
2023 Under 18 National Championship will be held 5th – 8th October.

Pan Pacific Youth Water Polo Festival
Marist participate in the Pan Pac tournament which is run by New Zealand Water Polo on alternate years (every even year) during Term 2 school holidays at pools across Auckland.
Pan Pacs hasn’t been run over the past couple years. Marist awaits its return.
Overseas Trips
If there is sufficient interest to attend, Marist plan overseas team trips to attend events such as Australia . International trips are not every year and subject to the full support of club, players, parents and require lots of fundraising!
